Tuesday Tips

So in an article in Family Fun magazine today, I found a very interesting article on sweet potatoes.

It says that according to the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest, they are one of the most nutritious vegetables around. They are full of vitamins A and C as well as potassium, fiber, and disease fighting phytonutrients found in all colorful fruits and veggies. They also say that adding a pat of fat such as butter helps you absorb the vitamin C better (although I personally recommend a tablespoon of cold press virgin coconut oil , YUM).

Here is some more info about the serious benefits of Vitamin C:

As well as potassium:

Here are some awesome recipes to incorporate sweet potatoes into your diet that don't include the traditional marshmallow casserole :)

With all the amazing benefits fitting into one small orange tuber, I ask you this.....

HAVE YOU HAD YOUR SWEET POTATO TODAY?
